Description:
Failing is commonly not desired nor wanted when it comes to our lives; however, failure is the paradox of success. In a world where weakness is not desired, vulnerability is a key feature that unifies us a human beings. All humans have inherent strengths, and when those strengths are leveraged a person will commonly feel satisfaction and reach their professional goals. The purpose of this session is to share the story of one physical therapist who is midway through her journey. This session will explore the parallels that we create for our patients in order to facilitate their recovery to our own journey as neurologic physical therapists.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

1. Recognize the value in failing and vulnerability in career development.

2. Recognize the use of strengths in career development.

3. Identify similar strategies in career development and patient management.
