You must register for this course in advance.*** The Advanced Competency in Home Health program for the physical therapist assistant is a hybrid program consisting of core and elective online modules and a 1-day, live, face-to-face course. This course will include learning labs, review skills, and provide training and develop skills introduced in the core online module. There will be active labs that emphasize intervention options suitable for the home health client.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

1. Demonstrate competency with vital sign collection and understanding of implications of abnormal vital signs.

2. Perform appropriately challenging but safe interventions for clients with Cardiopulmonary Section issues.

3. Demonstrate appropriate interventions based on outcome measures collected.

4. Critically evaluate the role of the PTA in the home health arena and their relationship with the PT.
