Medicare laws, rules, and policies are constantly changing and vary depending on the settings in which PTs and PTAs practice. This session will explore the dramatic changes that come with implementing comprehensive health care reform legislation; alternative payment models; quality reporting programs, including MIPS; and more. The presenters will discuss how these changes create many opportunities and challenges for physical therapists.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

1. Discuss the potential impact of emerging policies in health care reform on delivery system reform, including opportunities to advance rehabilitation and avoid potential threats to rehabilitation.

2. Identify the latest initiatives regarding the development and implementation of alternative payment models in which physical therapists are able to participate.

3. Comply with quality reporting requirements for payment.
