Session Type: Educational Sessions
Session Level: Intermediate

Are you trying to implement a new evidence-based practice technique using quality improvement or knowledge translation processes in your clinic? Do you want to learn strategies to enhance your ability to plan projects to increase the use of evidence in practice and publish your results? Many organizations are piloting projects to integrate evidence into practice using quality improvement or knowledge translation processes, yet they lack the data needed to publish, reproduce, and generalize the projects into other health care settings. This session will educate attendees on planning, implementing, and evaluating projects in order to enhance dissemination in the wider community. Attendees are invited to discuss their unique projects and receive feedback from the presenters. Therapists should bring their projects or ideas with them, as time will be provided for mentoring and co-development of projects.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

1.Explore knowledge translation (KT) and quality improvement (QI) practice and research in physical therapy.

2. Describe strategies to plan, implement, and evaluate KT/QI projects.

3. Develop KT/QI action plans.
